Head of Geography and Professor of Remote Sensing at University of Leicester

Kevin is Professor of Remote Sensing in the School of Geography, Geology and the Environment with research interests in satellite Earth Observation of land surface processes and systems.

He joined the University of Leicester in 2003. Kevin has ran successful projects funded by the European Space Agency, the European Commission, UKRI and InnovateUK.

He has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed journals.

His work with business and industry has mainly been concerned with the processing and analysis of satellite and other geospatial data associated with renewable energy mapping and agricultural crop assessments.

He has worked in projects in Indonesia, China, Colombia, and a number of African countries.

Kevin is the College Director of Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise and is also the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Remote Sensing.
