The Satellite Applications Catapult is an independent innovation and technology company, created to foster growth across the economy through the exploitation of space. Eddie is the Knowledge Exchange Manager at the Satellite Applications Catapult and is responsible for leading the Catapult's academic engagement, working with the world class research base, and supporting the development of research and new ideas through commercialisation.

Before joining the Satellite Applications Catapult, Eddie worked for Teledyne e2v as a Systems Engineer on projects relating to Space imaging sensors (CCD & CMOS) and the development of Quantum Technology, atom-interferometer sensors for use in Space systems.

Eddie obtained a PhD in Astrophysics in 2021 from the University of Birmingham, focusing on solar physics and cosmic ray applications for Space Weather monitoring. Eddie also holds an MSc from Cranfield University in Astronautics and Space Engineering and an MSci in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Birmingham.

Eddie is a STEM Ambassador and is passionate about addressing the Space sector skills gaps and developing the workforce.
